The Italian Convent can accommodate about
two hundred
Chinese girls and destitute females. Of
the two hundred there now, twenty-six were received at
the request of the Secretary for Chinese Affairs. It
is not at present the practice to request either of
these institutions to receive Muitsai.

It will be seen that the Po Leung Kuk has at
present room to spare for Muitsai requiring shelter, and
I see no reason to anticipate that it will be necessary
to provide additional accommodation in the near future.
The situation is being carefully watched and steps
will be taken to increase the accommodation should it
be found necessary.
